You can find one of Keith Haring's few outdoor public works in Pisa, of all places. And to think this mural wouldn't have been created, had a young Pisan student not run into Haring by chance on the streets of New York. The gorgeous mural whose colours harmoniously blend with its environment the way only Haring's work can and that's painted over a 180-square-meter surface on the south wall of the Church of St. Anthony, deals with the theme of peace and harmony. The human scissors represent solidarity, the serpent represents evil, maternity is embodied in the figure of a woman holding a baby, and man's relationship with nature takes the form of two men supporting a dolphin.
