Këlcyra Gorge

more than a year ago
Just west of Këlcyra, the Vjosa river cuts through the Trebeshina and Nemerçka mountain range in the mighty 13km-long Gryka e Këlcyrës gorge, where the steep forested mountainsides tumble 1000 metres down to the bright blue river. Near the end of the gorge, the Ujit të Zi source of the Black River can be viewed flowing into the river, just behind the Eida petrol station. In the centre of the gorge, waterfalls plunge down into the river, and the restaurant across the metal bridge is a good spot to take in the surroundings.
