Kiwi Bar

  Skārņu 7      (+371) 67 21 19 17     more than a year ago
Over the years Riga has had its share of English and Irish pubs, but this is the first kiwi pub to open its doors in the Latvian capital. Friendly staff pour a good selection of foreign and domestic beers behind a huge rectangular bar while patrons admire the light wood interior and watch sports on a bunch of flat screen TVs. You can order a variety of pub food from burgers, breakfasts and meat pies to sandwiches and ribs or even Indian cuisine from neighbouring Indian Raja. A summer terrace with great views is also available.

Cool spot for a drink with friendly crowd and bartenders. Lots of expats, but more lads than lasses.

Really didn't like the interior and 2 of the 3 waitresses were really snobby. The crowd was great though and the music and football created a super atmosphere. Good pub have to remove those snobby girls though ...

I reaaly enjoyed this place. The girls behind the bar were very friendly spoke good English and made you feel welcome. There was always a good crowd in and it was the best bar I visited during my time in Riga.

Though they don't actually have any beers from New Zealand, the beer selection is good, the staff is quite friendly, and the atmosphere is enjoyable - and the Indian food from next door is quite the bonus!
