Looking for a willing, but emotionally detached, partner for some heavy petting or a casual cuddle while in town? Swipe right into Kraków's cat cafe. Yes, this Asian craze has reached Kraków, which opened PL's first 'kociarnia' in 2015 - it proved so popular that reservations were necessary and the search immediately began for a larger locale. Right across from Galeria Krakowska, this is it: a rather bland cafe full of scratchable furnishings and patrons scarfing down overpriced cakes and coffee while desperately trying to get the attention of the ten supremely uninterested cats who live here. They also have a ton of boardgames, and on the 2nd Friday of each month they organise boardgame nights and stay open until 24:00 because that's presumably how long it takes to get a full game in while cats are constantly swatting the pieces onto the floor. Note that kids under 6 are not allowed inside, as it would presumably disrupt the nap-tastic vibes inside. The second (original) location at ul. Krowoderska 48 is more kid-friendly, but open on weekends only, Sat 11:00-20:00, Sun 11:00-19:00.
