If you're anything like us, the inflexibility of pizza restaurants in Poland - where staff blankly point at their long menus of pre-set pizza compositions when you simply ask for a pizza with the two toppings your kids will eat - is beyond frustrating. If only there was some magic utopian place where chefs could take custom orders and customers could have exactly what they want on their pizza! Well friends, take heart - such Pizzatopias do exist, and they can now be found not only across all of North America, but also in Kraków. This casual pizza joint on Plac Nowy is all about giving customers the freedom to personalise their pizzas. Just imagine: with Pizzatopia's 'Build Your Own' pizza offer, you can choose as many and whichever ingredients you want for a flat rate of 44zł. Behind the counter (which actually makes this pizza place more like a sandwich shop) you'll find two types of light, chewy crust to choose from (classic or multigrain), four base sauces to select from, seven different types of cheese (including vegan mozzarella), six kinds of meat (including roast beef and chorizo), over a dozen veggies, and a dozen finishing sauces (from balsamic to barbecue). Fast and fired in 3 minutes, the menu also includes a few of their own creations (try the pizza of the month), fresh salads, craft beers and their own sodas. A brilliant concept that’s love at first bite, they also have locations in the Old Town at ul. Szewska 22 and ul. Grodzka 48, and they do delivery too.
