At first, you will be introduced to the ancient Slavic tradition of the twisting of the birch branches. The young girls decorate the trees and twist its branches to show their appreciation to nature for the spring. In Slavic pagan mythology it was the day of the God of vegetation. The birch tree was the most honourable tree in pagan mythology. The Christian traditions mixed with some ancient ones, and on Trinity Day people decorate churches with birch branches and dance around birch trees.
This holiday at the museum starts at 10:00 with a Church service. People bring birch tree branches and many different herbs to be blessed by the priest. The concert at the Singing Field starts at 11:00. Different folklore groups introduce the Trinity traditions to the audience. There are the restaurants, cafes, and souvenir stores at the museum also.
