Verbne is considered as one of the cleanest lakes in Kyiv; the source comes from the groundwater, and the depth reaches up to 22 m. However, in July and August, the lake is overgrown with algae, and the water becomes muddy green. There are a lot of fish in the pond, and it is hard to discern them from the peddle catamarans or rowboats. Rental price 40-50Hr.
Getting there Take the blue metro line from city centre to Petrivka station. From there head to the north side of Moskovsky prospect and walk 15 minutes to the Moskovsky Bridge.
