As you might expect from one of the central tourist destinations in North Cyprus, Kyrenia is packed with things to see, do, explore and experience. History plays a significant role in pretty much everything here, from the streets of the Old Town to the ruined forts that surround the city and every step in between. Kyrenia balances the two ably, offering more than enough in the town proper to keep visitors engaged while serving up plenty of excursions for those looking to dig a little deeper. It is all delightfully gorgeous, too, and some of the sea views are simply tremendous. Start with the Old Town and the castle, and let your heart (by which we mean feet) dictate the rest.
