Although difficult to find as it's hidden in a small courtyard behind the popular club Piens, once you reach Labietis you're faced with the difficult task of tasting 12 delicious craft brews made on the premises from American-style IPAs and English bitters to special beers made with Latvian herbs. The brewery is clearly visible behind a glass partition and you can enjoy a tasty beer at the bar, by the windows or at an incredibly large wooden table in the middle of the room. This place is b*****y difficult to find ! Took me 3 goes even after seeing the sign to it (would have given up otherwise). Worth the effort though - some good and unusual beers. Also liked the swinging bar stools. Think that chess sets are available.

Truly and well tucked away, Labietis is a must visit for any beer aficionado. Delicious beers in various styles (styles that one would not normally encounter in Latvia) to drink onsite or take away. Added bonus - they have a working relationship with Fontaine Delisnack right next door, so you can order food from there, and even get a 10% discount.
