Located on the ground floor of a hip rock ’n’ roll hotel owned by Danish rocker Louie Fontaine, Valhalla offers a unique interior of local art, custom-built furniture made from upcycled bits and pieces of old metal cans and signage and, of course, the original centuries-old wooden timbers of this historic building. You can order waffles, pancakes and fries with a variety of toppings or try some of the main courses with names from Norse mythology like Odin’s meatballs and Freya’s chilli con carne. Naturally, being a Fontaine establishment, plenty of booze is available and a smoking lounge can be found downstairs.
