One of Riga’s most iconic Art Nouveau edifices has been given a new lease of life as a high-end art space called Art Platz. In addition to information about the building’s illustrious architect Mikhail Eisenstein (1867–1920), it also displays a new exhibition by Herberts Ernests Siliņš (1926–2001) entitled Kaleidoscope. Other halls host an exhibition called The Trajectory of Myth featuring artist Kalvis Zālītis and a café specialising in teas will also soon be available. If, however, you’d like to create your own art, lectures and master classes are also held regularly (see its website and Instagram for details). Ring the doorbell marked Art Platz.
