La Kanna

Although this block of Tērbatas iela has more than its share of trendy coffee shops, this is the only one that serves proper, though pricey, meals from soups and salads to seafood and international cuisine all prepared in the open-plan kitchen in the back. Decorated with local art and apartment-style furnishings, La Kanna is a good place just to chill out with a slice of cake and a cappuccino or perhaps one of its wines that can also be ordered by the glass, bottle or carafe. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays.
