You usually have to pay a premium for accommodation with a view, but this hotel and hostel seems to be the exception to the rule. Stay in dorm rooms on the fourth floor overlooking the Riga Canal and the Freedom Monument or pay a little extra for private rooms on the fifth floor, some of which have en-suite facilities. There’s not much in the way of interior design, but all rooms look brand-new and are clean and tidy. Communal kitchens and common areas are available and women’s dorms can also be booked. Coffee machines are also provided or you can take advantage of the McDonald’s on the ground floor if you’re hungry.
