This huge Old Riga restaurant is like a modern take on a classic grand café with lots of open space, high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows as well as an open-plan kitchen behind the bar. Its simple concept is to create refined international cuisine using only the best locally-sourced ingredients. Start with tapas and pintxos and move on to seafood, duck, lamb or perhaps a rib-eye steak. In the summer Locale offers an expansive terrace and excellent iced drinks made with berries, rhubarb or whatever fruit is in season.
