One of Riga’s most stylish beer bars has an odd location in a modern building on the edge of the old town, but if a giant scoreboard listing 20 different Baltic and European craft brews sounds appealing, then head over to Miezis and Co. and let the beer tasting begin! The friendly staff will make suggestions and even give you a small pour so you can make up your mind, but once you’ve got your brew you can sit by an enormous map of the city or by the floor-to-ceiling windows and watch the trams and trains roll by outside. Did we mention the vertical walls of moss that stretch towards the 4m-tall ceiling? Be careful leaving the bar. You’ll see what we mean when you get there.
