This unassuming beer bar provides a courtyard terrace in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood and a hipsterish interior of old furniture that only students and vintage enthusiasts could appreciate. The beer selection is off the charts incredible, which isn’t surprising given that it’s run by the same people who brought you the no frills Čē (ex-Chomsky) bar on Dzirnavu iela. Indeed, we could feel our heart rate begin to rise as we perused the taps and the refrigerator stocked with the best brews that Latvia has to offer as well as a good selection of German wheat beers and pilsners. The background music runs the gamut from punk rock to experimental noise that they probably torture Gitmo detainees with and someone must have lost their mind writing a Latvian story on the ceiling (backwards).

Easy enough to find, but unfortunately not open, even though it should have been (1700 on a Monday)
