Although many people head over to Old Riga’s Peldu iela for cheap beer and no-holds-barred nightlife, one of the city’s wildest streets has finally been given a touch of class with the opening of this casual, yet refined jazz club, restaurant and craft cider and beer bar. Its centuries-old brick walls are covered in brass instruments and a working fireplace makes the already intimate ambience even cosier. Order a unique, locally-produced glass of cider, a cocktail or one the draught brews from small Latvian microbreweries available at the bar and then head into the main room where live jazz music is performed on a small stage throughout the week (see its FB page for schedules). A small menu of sophisticated food is also available as well as a private courtyard terrace in the summer.
