Opening bars/culture spaces in derelict buildings has become something of a pastime in Riga of late and this place hidden behind a graffiti coated façade is a fine example of the genre. Take the stairs to the second floor to discover a large room festooned with old photos and have a seat on mismatched furniture strewn across a worn parquet floor. Although the stage was empty when we last stopped by, it looks like it could easily host Jack White, if not Jack Kerouac. Stop by for a beer, some wine, a poetry reading or a rock show. The ground floor is more of a bar and eletronic music club, but you can get food and booze upstairs.
