Even with floor to ceiling windows facing out onto a busy intersection in Achrafieh, Leil Nahr (or Night & Day in English) has a quite cold, industrial feel to it, owing to the dark floors, grey walls and exposed ventilation system. The menu has the usual selection of sandwiches, pizzas, salads and burgers that you find most places these days, while the most ordered menu items seem to be traditional Lebanese manakeesh from the oven. However, as the name implies it's open non-stop, and it's a well-known spot for late night studying, freelance work or an afterparty bite, despite the chronically unavailable internet. In fact, it's not unusual to find us here working at 3am on a Tuesday because we need a change of scenery and/or a break from the missus, just don't tell her we said that or we'll be in serious trouble.
