Roundhay Park

The premier green space in Leeds, Roundhay Park covers more than 700 acres of verdant parkland, although do keep an eye out for the intriguingly-named Tropical World. The Waterloo Lake is our favourite part, a gorgeous expanse of water that was built by mean returning from fighting that darn Napoleon, unemployed veterans who were given work in constructing it. Runners will be in their element here, especially at the weekends, as you’ll find a park run every Saturday morning.
