Approximately 8km north of Tetovo on the road to Kosovo, this gorgeous complex of churches is crowned by the spectacular 14th-century Orthodox Church of the Holy Virgin whose interior is ablaze with wonderful frescos dating from the time of the building’s construction right through to the 19th century. The monastery dormitories have all been fully renovated and are rented to tourists during the summer months.
