Sat at the foot of the impressive Šar Mountains, the Albanian-dominated city of Gostivar is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. A chaotic jumble of architectural styles, there’s one or two interesting things to explore when in town, plus it’s also among the top destinations in North Macedonia for cheap and delicious Albanian cuisine courtesy of scores of small restaurants scattered throughout the centre.
