It seems impossible to get anything but a good meal in this Kaunas favourite. The food, including knockout steaks, fish, pasta, a few vegetarian and Lithuanian dishes and their infamous desserts is far from fancy but it really won’t disappoint. Check out the orange grand piano in the corner and enjoy the terrace by the park during the summer.

The service in Miesto Soldas was better than average and everything happened quite fast. The pork tenderloin was excellent, as well as the salad accompanying it. My friends chicken Kiev was greasy and quite tasteless. We would still recommend this place.

I've been to Miesto Sodas on Laives Aleja probably 50 times between 1999 and 2005. It was one of my favorite places for lunch in Kaunas. Reasonably priced good food and drinks, a pleasant atmosphere, with fairly good service.
