This enormous museum on two floors traces the medical and pharmaceutical history of Lithuania with the help of such artefacts as two authentic apothecary shops from days gone by, jars full of traditional herbs, an ancient machine for making tablets, some beautiful old dental equipment and much more. Located inside a large house that once belonged to a pharmacist, the museum can be enjoyed either by simply marvelling at the old-fashioned technology on display or by booking a guided tour for a more detailed explanation of what’s inside.
