Completed in 1666, up in flames in 1732 and finally consecrated in 1759, this fine building has had several different owners over the centuries. At the end of the First World War the Jesuits re-took possession, and the monastery became a school. During the Soviet occupation the monastery buildings were used as a technical college, the church interior as a sports hall, the crypts as a sauna and the attic as a shooting gallery. The church was returned to the Jesuits in 1990 and reconsecrated in 1992.
