Former Frenkel’s Factory Synagogue

One of three surviving former synagogues in the city, this one’s by far the most attractive, despite the fact that it currently lies empty. Built by Chaim Frenkel in 1914 to serve the religious and cultural needs of his Jewish factory workers, plans are currently underway to bring the building back to life as a cultural centre.
