Dating back to 1622 when it was built by the Jesuits, this church has been remodelled, chopped and changed a great deal over the centuries. Closed in 1798 soon after Vilnius was absorbed into tsarist Russia, it was used as stables, an officers' club and, during the Soviet occupation, an art gallery. Mass was once again celebrated here in 2004 and today the building functions primarily as a garrison church.
