The former bicycle factory along the riverside is the place to head for those for whom Metelkova has become too mainstream. The massive complex is home to various squatters, artists, collectives, social initiatives, nightlife venues, a giant indoor skatepark and much more. Like Metelkova, it's a real treat for the camera lens during the day, as it's covered in graffiti, sculptures and other public art installations, while at night most weekends there are parties that last well into the next day. The folks who informally run it have been locked in legal disputes with the city for years (it came closest to getting shut down back in spring 2016, with bulldozers an barbed wire facing off), so if it sounds like your kind of thing make sure to visit while you can. The official site, atrog.org, has lots of info and a comprehensive listing of all upcoming events, while most of the individual venues also have their own Facebook pages.
