There is always a certain curiosity to these medieval houses that survive long enough to become tourist attractions. When this gorgeous little house was built in the centre of Conwy it was constructed to provide a home for a merchant, to house English settlers who moved in after the occupation began in the 13th century. The two-storey Vernacular house may have been of little interest then, but today it stands proud as one of the few remaining examples of its time, a gorgeous building in the centre of town that is known as one of the oldest dateable houses in the country. It is currently administered by the National Trust.
