In April you can enjoy Emaischen Luxembourg - a traditional celebration of Emmaus. From the third to the fifth Sunday after Easter, you can be part of the main religious ceremony in the country - the Octave. A traditional Pilgrimage to honour Our Lady of Luxembourg, who is the patron saint. In May you can also take part in the Night of the Cathedrals where you can visit the cathedral of Luxembourg and experience its magic night with guided tours, lectures, etc. Luxembourg Museum Days is an event created in 1977 and offers you to visit Luxembourg's numerous museums free of charge. The National Day of Luxembourg is on the 23rd of June, although it was supposed to be celebrated on the 23rd of January - it was meant to celebrate the Grand-Dukes birthday. It has all started with Grand Duchess Charlotte's one but since it was wintertime, the celebration was postponed for June and remains like this.
