Rather strangely, Málaga isn’t blessed with a huge amount of excellent nightclubs. Maybe it is the abundance of resorts up and down the coast, the laid-back nature of the locals or reasons undefined, but nightlife here is definitely more quality over quantity. The quality is there though, and there are a number of excellent places in which to dance from late at night until shepherd’s delight.
A lounge club with plenty of room to drink and dance, Bubbles is all neon light and a party atmosphere, fuelled by cocktails and who knows what else. Things get pretty rowdy here to say the least, as the intense volume of the music blows away the cobwebs and allows the weird serenity of drunken dancing take control.
Once one of the most popular live music venues in the city, Velvet Club closed its doors in 2018, only to be resurrected like a phoenix just a year later. Now more of a pub and nightclub than a straight ahead music venue, it remains a great place to check out bands or simply dance the night away.
Open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Andén is a modern day discotheque that is all about having a good time. Well-established among locals and visitors alike, the city centre location is just one of the many things that this colourful club has going for it. Many of the region’s best DJs frequently ply their trade here.
