Opened in 1975, there is nowhere in the UK quite like the Arndale. This is both figuratively and literally true, as this massive centre of commerce and trade is the largest city centre shopping mall in the UK and the third-largest in Europe. More than 200 stores are found within, covering everything from fashion to food via sportswear and the rest, more than enough variety for the 41 million shoppers who make their way here on an annual basis. The centre is smack-bang in the centre of the city, you’ll almost certainly walk past it at some point.
