Imperial War Museum

The northern branch of the Imperial War Museum (obviously), this fascinating spot overlooks the Manchester Ship Canal, an apt spot if ever there was one. All things war are explored inside via a number of permanent and temporary exhibitions, although don’t assume that means all bang and no bite. War is, at its heart, the story of human beings, and there are plenty such narrative within this interesting and impactful museum.
