Japanese Garden

5 Av. Princesse Grace     more than a year ago
Prince Rainier III made a special request for the creation of this Japanese Garden. The landscape designer ensured that features found in Japanese gardens are implemented. These include waterfalls, small islands, pools, lanterns, a tea house, Zen gardens, and most importantly, a red bridge. The bamboo, wood, lanterns, and other items uniquely attached to Japanese traditions were imported from Japan. The architect who designed the landscape, Yasuo Beppu, has stayed in touch with the management team of the Garden, and every year he returns to Monaco to inspect the garden and propose plant care and other maintenance techniques.
