Princess Grace Botanical Garden

Fontvieille     more than a year ago
Located in Fontvieille Park on Avenue des Guelfes, Princess Grace Botanical Garden was opened in 1984 by Prince Rainier III in memory of his wife Princess Grace. The garden was intended to showcase both English and Mediterranean plants and flowers. There is a big bronze statue of Princess Grace in the garden and it brings attention to the whole park, as well as attract visitors to the garden. At night, the whole area, where the bronze and fountain are, is lit up. There are seven themes of rose gardens and the roses dominate the whole 5,000 square metres garden. To complement the roses, there are olive trees that are over 100 years old.
