Vanilla Sky’s unique location atop the pier affords it unique 180 degree views of the Volga. The menu is the usual European selection of pastas, salads and grilled dishes with plenty of local fish on offer and some sushi. Admittedly it is all a bit hit and miss, although some dishes are really very good. But here it’s more about the atmosphere than the food. The candlelight, live piano and the clean lines of the 1930s style maritime interior are all spot on and make a romantic evening setting. In the summer there is also a huge open air terrace with an Uzbek restaurant.
