The main concept was derived from the founders’ curiosity to “examine not only the role of history in an artist’s work, but also the role of the artist in creating history itself”.
What Artstory aims to achieve is to demonstrate how an assortment of different styles and artistic directions can come to form a solid basis for a vivid, relevant and energetic collection that would be interpreted as one logical whole.
Aside from offering a very rich and colorful exhibition program across its four halls featuring works from large private and museum collections, Artstory also hosts an array of educational programs in the form of lectures, children’s master-classes and film screenings.
