Those Romans, they had it made. Ignore the constant fear of death, the societal instability and presumably the monumental hangovers, but boy oh boy what a life. Situated a few kilometres south outside of Čapljina is a Roman villa par excellence, a little slice of historical luxury by the name of Mogorjelo. Now protected by the state, this is a 4th century villa of absolute luxury, although you’ll have to use your imagination for that somewhat. A horse farm is found next to the ruins, a graceful addition and then some.
