The main attraction of the JPII Centre in Łagiewniki, this museum displays a large collection of items primarily donated to the museum by Karol Wojtyła, aka Pope John Paull II, himself towards the end of his papacy, including many personal belongings and papal gifts received during his world travels. There are currently three permanent exhibits on view: 'Our Pope' - displaying the diverse gifts he recieved during his 104 pilgrimages to places all over the world; 'Who is the Man in the Shroud?' - including a replica of the Shroud of Turin, plus detailed analysis of its authenticity and sculptures and visualisations of the man who wore it; and 'Karol Wojtyła in Trentino' - gathering materials from a particularly well-documented trip to the Italian Alps, that reveals the late Pope's love of nature and sport.
