With the Meditteranena Sea at its doorstep, a long history of French and Spanish rule, ridiculously fertile volcanic soil and some of Italy’s most undiscovered and underrated wine varietals (aglianico is a great example of one), there's something for everyone here. We’ve been dining here a very long time and are proud to share our recommendations.

Be aware that Naples is a town where in general, bakeries and pastry shops are very good, but picking a good restaurant can be a tougher taks than in other cities. That’s got something to do with an unfavorable ratio of dishonest restaurateurs who prey on tourists and a local food culture of mostly eating at home. Neapolitans like to eat pizza (we’ve compiled a seperate list for the town's best pizza) outside of the house, so pizzerias are a great place to sink your teeth into Naples' culinary scene, especially since besides pizzas a good pizzeria usually offers up classic dishes at atractive prices. Follow our advice and you’ll soon learn where to find other ridiculously appetizing treasures than what's on offer at pizzerias.
