One of Riga’s finest art nouveau buildings is home to a stylish, upmarket restaurant offering both international and Latvian-style cuisine. Inside you’ll find grey walls covered by ever-changing art exhibitions, light parquet floors and spider-like chandeliers made from black reading lamps. Order salads, pasta, Latvian-raised beef as well as seafood or try its affordable lunch specials in a refined setting on a bustling cobblestone street flanked by bars and cafés.

Outstandingly creative and deliciously cooked, this restaurant is a treat and a feast at a very reasonable cost for a similar service in London or Paris. Maris, our waiter was also, excellent. I would recommend!!!

Glad to see Neiburg's in the "Upmarket" section. Two years later they still offer the same high level of creativity and excellence on their menu. The wonderful dessert with black currant-vodka sorbet with a basil sauce is one such example. The service is always excellent and more and more you have to either eat early or reserve a table in advance. Good for them. Well deserved.

I'm surprised that this restaurant is not in your "Upmarket" section. I was there on October 9 and had a wonderful meal with creative dishes and excellent service. The overworked staff had a Russian birthday dinner to tend to in addition to regular diners, and in my case they passed the test with flying colors. The wines were perhaps a bit ordinary compared to Bergs, but the decor was more in the Riga spirit, and the service was just as good. Very highly recommended.

Fabulous restaurant. Great menu mixing local and international cuisine. Very reasonable prices, excellent service, style. I agree with the previous writer - they deserve, and will, succeed.Book in advance because the locals sure have found their way to this doorstep.

Neiburgs was exceptional. Riga is a city where standards change enormously. Restaurants and bars a few yards apart can either cynically fleece tghe tourist or offer a warm welcome, good standards and excellent value. Neiburgs was simply a joy - offering stylish surroundings and high-class food at a very fair price, and well positioned just off one the main squares in the old town. Go there. They deserve to succeed
