Hampshire Inn - Prinsengracht

Frequent visitors to Amsterdam know that hotel rooms can be quite small here. If you've always wanted to know what it would be like to sleep in a so-called ‘shoebox’ room, the Prinsengracht location of the Hampshire Inn chain is the perfect place to satisfy your curiosity. Although the hotel has been given four stars, it seems that only the price is commensurate with the designation. It has too many shortcomings to justify all these stars, but it's enough if you’re just looking for a place to sleep and shower. The staff, however, does its best to make up for the lack of amenities.
