Weather

Nice’s weather is the warmest in the summer, during the months of July, August, and September, average high temperatures are between 22°C and 24°C. Spring and fall seasons are not too cold, the highest temperatures are between 13°C and 17°C. December and January are the coldest months with average temperatures ranging from 9°C to 10°C.

Crime & Safety

Like any other holiday destination, visitors to Nice should watch out for pickpockets in busy touristic places, and scams that may involve people distracting a traveller while someone is stealing from them. In 2016, Nice was a target of a terrorist attack, therefore, visitors must stay alert, especially in crowded places.

Hospitals

Visitors should be aware that on google, a couple of places might come up as hospitals when in fact they are not the best places to go during an emergency because some have closed gates with buzzers. The most well known big hospitals are Hospital Pasteur, a general hospital on Voie Romaine; Lenval Foundation, a children's hospital located at 57 Avenue de la Californie; Hospital L'archet, a women’s hospital located at 151 Route de Saint-Antoine; and Hospital Cimiez, a general hospital on Avenue Reine Victoria.

Public Toilets

There are public toilets in Nice around the attractions and other places of interest. Right at Albert 1er Park, there is a public bathroom located where Rue Paradis road joins Avenue de Verdun. Another bathroom is located at 10 Descente Crotti, and there is a wheelchair accessible bathroom between Cours Saleya Road and Cite du Parc Road. Further away from the main attractions, there is also a public toilet where Place Arson meets Rue de Orestis.

Internet

There are many places around Nice with free WiFi. Starting from the airport (Nice Côte d'Azur Airport) to Promenade Des Anglais Train Station to Cours Saleya in Old Town. Nice Tourist Offices also have free internet and staff there can tell tourists where exactly WiFi spots are.
