Over the years owner Rosemary Armstrong has accrued a plethora of awards for her Fermanagh farmhouse. Alongside the Taste of Ulster, NITB and AA awards, however, sits Rosemary's most recent accolade - an EU Flower acknowledging Arch House's eco-tourism endeavours.

Energy efficiency, recycling and composting spearhead this green transition, and Arch House is the only NI accommodation of its kind to receive the EU stamp of approval.

For lovebirds in search of the good life, Rosemary extends her talents to the restaurant where the extensive menu brims with locally sourced, home cooked produce - as you'd expect from a working farmhouse.

Fifteen - yes 15! - main courses include succulent steak, wild salmon and Lough Erne trout. And that's not to mention the breakfast choice with Seafood Crepe and a Fermanagh Fry among the tantalising options.

Nearby, two great attractions make for idyllic day trips. Magnificent Florence Court National Trust property opens its grounds from March 1st with the house open from St. Patrick's Day (t. 6634 8249).

And the Marble Arch Caves, with their underground labyrinth of stalactites and stalagmites, also open from late March (t. 6634 8855). A couple of unique locations should you have a certain question on your mind...
