Martyr's Memorial Free Presbyterian Church

This austere '60s church was the preaching ground of its founder, Unionist political heavyweight and former First Minister the Rev Ian Paisley. Love him or loathe him, 'Big Ian' remained a larger than life presence in NI's history, though his fiery oration was somewhat tempered by the passing years. Dr. Paisley fell out with the church in 2011, never to return. He died three years later. The large clock above the door heralds the warning 'Time Is Short', so you'd better get moving.
