Habibi Hookak Bar

Just a stone’s throw from the main drag is this lovely smoking oasis. One can sit in a tent- like booth & and chose from one of many different tobaccos. It is also a pretty descent restaurant as well! The cuisine is European with a Middle Eastern flavor & very reasonable prices. We enjoyed the fillet chicken with mushrooms & tomatoes for just 59Hr. There are TV screens in every tent for watching your favorite football games. The staff spoke great English & really made us feel at home.

I had a same experience. Unfortunately I think I am deceived and scammed. I paid around 200 $ for a lunch. No one should go there. Be so careful. I am sure they have some deals with local police and no can complain.

If you are not Ukrainian, don''t go to habibi. They have 2 menus, one for locals and one for foreigners. Foreigners pay 3 to 4 times the price. For example a Greek salad for locals is 85 grivna. For foreigners it''s almost 300 grivna. .. avoid this place

I see whoever wrote the introduction to the Habibi above is not named and is written as though they are a customer. I am not a smoker. I went to use the restaurant. This is the second time I have tried to make post a comment in respect of it. With regards to the staff speaking English, I heard no evidence of it. I ate there on the 17 February 2017. A meal for two, including wine came to 5897 Hryvnia, or just over 200euros, or £175. I would not eat there again. There are plenty of eating places in Odessa offering good food at very reasonable prices. I have a copy of the bill written in Russian. I cannot interpret it. The meal included two pots of tea, two plates of grilled vegetables, 480hryvnia, or 16.9 euros, rack of lamb, very tough and stringy and poor tasting, 848hryvnia or 29.8 euros, one borscht soup, oneplate of pasta, a good cheese board. My advice, avoid this place if you wish to eat.

I ate here on Friday 17 February 2017. I have a copy of the bill. It is written in Russian so I cannot interpret all of it. The meal included a cheese board, two pots of tea, one for me, one for a friend, borscht soup, a plate of pasta, two helpings of grilled vegetables a rack of lamb and a bottle of wine. I am not pretending to remember all constituents of the meal and as I have said, I cannot read the bill. A 10% service charge being added automatically. The total bill for two of us came to 5897 Hryvnia/uah or 207.63 euro or £175.91. The rack of lamb was very poorly cooked. It was tough and stringy. The taste, on a scale of 1-10, was 0. I would not eat there again.
