Twenty years of excavations along the road that connects Mogoro to the highway SS131 have uncovered an elliptical settlement possibly dating to the Eneolithic era (2700 - 2200BC) as well as a nuragic monument and its nearby village. Stone, ceramic and metal objects dating between the Bronze and the Iron Age (1600 - 700BC) were discovered in this settlement. The finds will be put on display in the archaeological museum which is currently being set up within the 17th century convent, adjoining the 14th century Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Chiesa della Madonna del Carmine).
