Palanga

Getting there

share

Not surprisingly for such a thriving holiday destination, summer brings with it a major increase in traffic to Palanga. Buses leave for the town from just about every city, town and village in the country and cars clog the streets, making a mockery of the idea that Palanga is a place to get away from it all. A handy trick for those who enjoy the romance of train travel and who are coming from the east is to catch one of the daily trains to Klaipėda from Vilnius, get off at Kretinga and catch the regular minibuses that run between the town and the coast.
