Antanas Mončys House-Museum

  Daukanto 16      (+370) 46 04 93 66     more than a year ago
The locally-born sculptor Antanas Mončys (1921-1993) fled the advancing Red Army in 1944 and eventually found a home in Paris before going on to receive a modicum of international fame in the post-war period. This small museum features some of his best work as well as drawings, exhibition posters and personal items. According to the aritst's wishes, all of the pieces on display can be touched.
