Running of the Bulls route

more than a year ago
The event Pamplona gained world fame in the first place. Fiesta de San Fermin attracts thousands of people from every corner of the world every year. The week-long festivities start on July 6th and run until midnight on July 14th. The Running of the Bulls is far from being the only thing that happens during that time, but undoubtedly it is the most popular attraction of the city.

The first “Encierro” (bull-run in Spanish) starts on July 7th right at 8 AM and is repeated every morning at the same time until the end of the festival. This dangerous challenge starts at Plaza del Ayuntamiento, and all who dare to attempt it should be on the spot at least half an hour before the start. The Running of the Bulls goes on 825 metres long stretch of narrow streets, ending up at the bullring. Participants can escape sideways if they feel endangered. While only people over 18 years are allowed to join the “Encierro,” everyone can take a walk on the bull-run route. It is a must-do any time of the year you happen to be at Pamplona.
